Who we are
Eleven Eleven Woodworks is a family woodworking shop in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect on elevenelevenwoodworks.com, why we collect it, and what your choices are. Questions about it can be sent through the contact page.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, shipping address, what you ordered, and any engraving or inlay text you enter.
- When you pay: your card details are entered directly into a secure form run by Square, our payment processor. They go to Square, not to us. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you create an account: your email and a password, which is stored scrambled so that even we can’t read it, plus your order history.
- When you contact us: your name, email, phone number if you give one, and your message, including any board details you send with it.
- When you subscribe: your email address, only if you tick the box asking for shop news.
- When you browse: the usual technical details a website sees, such as the pages you visit and the type of device and browser you use, through the analytics tools described below.
Why we collect it
To build and ship your order, send you order and shipping confirmations, answer your questions, keep the records the tax authorities require, spot fraud, and understand which parts of the site are working so we can improve it. We send marketing emails only to people who asked for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies that are needed for it to work: one that remembers your cart, one that keeps you signed in if you have an account, and a short-lived one that shows your order confirmation. Analytics tools such as Google Analytics may set cookies to measure visits in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser; the cart and sign-in will stop working if you block the essential ones.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the shop, and only what they need: Square to process payments, Canada Post or UPS to deliver your order, our email delivery service to send confirmations, and the hosting and database providers that run the website. Each of them handles your information under their own privacy policies. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Canadian tax rules require. Contact messages are kept as long as they’re useful for helping you. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete the account. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we’re required to keep it for tax purposes. You can unsubscribe from shop news with the link in any email. If you feel we haven’t handled your information properly, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
The shop is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. Anything significant, we’ll mention it on the site.
