Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship

We ship anywhere in Canada for a flat $20 per order, no matter how many boards are in the box. It’s added at checkout along with the sales tax for your province, so the total you see is the total you pay.

For the United States and everywhere else, shipping a heavy board varies too much for a flat price, so online checkout is Canada-only for now. If you’re outside Canada, send us a message from the contact page with the board you’d like and your address, and we’ll reply with an exact shipping price. Any duties, import taxes, or brokerage fees charged on the way into your country are yours to cover.

Free local pickup

If you’re on the Island, skip the shipping charge: choose “Pick it up” at checkout and collect your board at our shop in Charlottetown or at one of the upcoming markets we’ll be at. We’ll email you when it’s ready. Pickups are taxed where they’re collected.

How long it takes

Made-to-order boards leave the shop once they’re built, sanded and conditioned, which takes a few weeks; engraving and inlays add a little more. Ready-to-ship pieces go out within two business days. If you need a board by a certain date, mention it when you order and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can make it. November and December are our busiest months, so order early for gifts. If we ever fall behind on your order, we’ll email you rather than leave you guessing.

Carriers and tracking

Boards travel as a tracked parcel with Canada Post or UPS, wrapped and boxed to survive the trip. You’ll get the tracking number by email the day it ships. Once it’s on the way, most Maritime addresses see it in 1 to 3 business days, Ontario and Quebec in 2 to 5, and the West and North in 5 to 10. Those are the carriers’ estimates, not promises, and weather in the Maritimes has its own ideas.

Taxes

Canadian sales tax (GST or HST, depending on the province the board is going to) is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.

Your address

Please check your shipping address before you place the order. If a parcel comes back to us because of an address that wasn’t right, we’ll ask you to cover the cost of sending it out again.

Late or missing parcels

If your tracking hasn’t moved in five business days, or the carrier says it was delivered and it isn’t there, contact us and we’ll open a trace with the carrier right away.
