Terms & Conditions

The basics

These terms cover your use of elevenelevenwoodworks.com and anything you buy through it from Eleven Eleven Woodworks. By placing an order you’re agreeing to them, along with our Purchase & Return Policy, our Shipping & Delivery page, and our Privacy Policy. You need to be of legal age in your province to order.

Handmade means handmade

Every board is built by hand from real hardwood. Grain, figure, and colour vary from board to board and will differ from the photos, which were taken of a single board under studio light. Sizes are listed as built, and small variations from the listed dimensions are normal for a hand-made board. These variations are part of the product, not defects.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars. Sales tax and shipping are added at checkout and shown before you pay. Payment is processed by Square; we don’t store your card details. We do our best to keep prices accurate, but if a board is listed at a plainly wrong price because of a typo or a technical error, we may cancel that order and refund you in full rather than sell it at the mistaken price. Prices can change at any time, but never after you’ve paid.

Your order

An order confirmation means we’ve received your order, not that we’ve accepted it. We accept it when we start building your board, and we can decline an order for a good reason, such as a payment that doesn’t clear or an address we can’t ship to. If we can’t fill your order, we’ll tell you and refund you. For engraving and inlays, you’re responsible for the spelling and content of the text you enter, and you confirm you have the right to use any name or phrase you ask us to put on a board. All sales are final; see our Purchase & Return Policy.

Shipping and ownership

A board becomes yours, and your responsibility, when the carrier delivers it. Damage in transit is handled under our Purchase & Return Policy as long as you report it within the window there. For orders shipped outside Canada by arrangement, you’re responsible for any duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.

Using your board

A cutting board is a kitchen tool. Please follow the care instructions we provide. We’re not responsible for damage caused by dishwashers, soaking, heat, neglect, or use for anything other than food preparation, or for injuries that come from using knives or other tools on the board.

Limits on our responsibility

Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived. Beyond those rights, our responsibility for any problem with an order is limited to repairing or replacing the board or refunding what you paid for it. We’re not responsible for indirect losses, such as a missed occasion or a gift that arrives late.

Chargebacks

If something’s gone wrong with an order, please contact us before disputing the charge with your card issuer. We’d much rather fix it. If a charge is disputed while the board is kept, we may recover the cost of the board.

Our photos and words

The photos, product descriptions, and other content on this site belong to Eleven Eleven Woodworks. You’re welcome to share links to it; please don’t copy our photos or text for another site or shop without asking.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Prince Edward Island and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
